all 10 releases + brand new dpk11!! dapayk solo is a studio workaholic and he strikes a blow for vinyl. in 2009 he started his very own vinyl only series called dpk, next to his well established labels mo s ferry, fenou and rrygular. the idea was to present vinyl in striking colours as a special format for his liveset tracks and beloved edits by artists such as format:b, super flu, sascha braemer and jon hester. it s a feast for the eyes and the ears all in one. now, four years later and after reaching #10 of the series, dapayk decided to compile all tracks in a collectors box. in addition to the previously released records he also included the brand new dpk #11 with a remix by aka aka. this big bundle contains 23 tracks and ranges from minimalistic to funfair tunes and also some edgy b-sides.

schallbox014 is a deep and ever grooving track made by berlins michael nielebock and leevey that will definitely see the openair season prolonged until the end of the year. additionally, larsson delivers a dubby remix featuring an electrifying beat and broad synth sounds. schallbox even resurrects some golden memories of legendary bar25 - courtesy of sasch cawa and dirty doerings remix which is furthermore gratifying the vinyl package. last but not least the release is completed by the contribution of newcomer benotmane from basel, who converts the original into a dreamy sunrise tune.

what do you do when a live project exceeds its own ambitions? just keep doing the wonderful concerts and eventually head to the studio. sounds simple and conclusive. in the case of karocel, that was exactly how they went about it and surprisingly, all six band members made it happen. though the four marbert rocels, mathias kaden and michael-mitchi-nagler have known each other from their hometown along the gera-jena-erfurt corridor, and the karocel live shows have been well received: an album is an entirely different beast.

ok, first of all i want to reveal a myth: these infotexts are mostly writtenby the labelowners themselves, not by hard-working editors. so what happens, when the guy behind a label releases his own music? well, either he is a well-organised deadline-machine and he asks somebody capable of doing this stupid job, or he realizes:

this ep marks a newbeginning in my career. since some time now, >the fog burns off< and we get more and more stable in the buisness. last year we were on the road quite a bit and we found many new friends. people from other cities, who believe in the same things, who do similar stuff and who are of the same kidney as we are. so that makes me very happy, which reflects in the music. for the first time i feel like coming home, although we are at the beginning of our journey into the industry yet.
